Citizens Advice Havant is a registered charity, but there is a common misconception that we are government funded. We receive a core grant from Havant Borough Council and we receive more help from other grant giving organisations. However our day to day workload is increasing with the local community struggling, so we would really value your donation to keep our vital services running.
Citizens Advice Havant is firmly established as the local 'go to' organisation for help and quality advice; which importantly is free, independent, confidential, and impartial and is available to everyone to as to their rights and responsibilities.
We empower clients to help themselves by supplying good, accurate information through our advice channels, which can be accessed face to face at a range of locations, over the phone and online. Clients can also help to make changes by allowing us to use their evidence to influence changes in unfair policies and practices at a local and national level.
We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice, we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice. When we say we’re for everyone, we mean it. People rely on us because we’re independent and totally impartial. No one else sees so many people with so many different kinds of problems, and that gives us a unique insight into the challenges people are facing today. With the right evidence, we can show big organisations – from individual companies, right up to the government – how they can make things better for people. That’s why we’re here: to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are, and whatever their problem.
