Paid Roles

We don't have any paid roles on offer at the moment.

We always have vacancies for volunteers at Citizens Advice Havant and we would love to hear from you (you can get further info if you use our contact form) if you're interested in volunteering with us.

Whether you have a few hours or a few days or more to offer, we have a range of volunteer opportunities that may suit you.

Some of the volunteering roles we have to offer are:

  • Receptionist / Administrator - we are always looking for people with good administration and people skills to work with clients and behind the scenes making our local Citizens Advice an efficient service.  Our Advisers often start in an admin role to get to know the way we work. Here's our Customer service volunteer role description

  • Adviser - initial training starts you off as an Initial Assessor  - that takes about 6 weeks training and then you can carry on to do the full adviser training over about 12 - 18 months while still taking an active role with clients.  Here are the role descriptions for Initial Assessor and Adviser

  • Help to Claim Volunteer - help people with their new Universal Credit Claims online at our offices or the Jobcentre in Havant. Here's our Help to Claim Volunteer role description
  • Research and Campaigns - if you feel strongly about our campaign issues then we would love you to join us to help gather evidence, and take an active part promoting our campaigns out and about in the community and on Social Media. Here's our Research and Campaigns role description

  • Trustee - we are on the look out for people with good business skills who would like to join our Trustee board to help run Citizens Advice Havant.  You can download our Trustee recruitment pack here

  • Financial Capability mentor - we have a project working in the local community that needs volunteers to help either in schools or in community workshops to improve financial literacy in the area, helping improve budgeting skills and general financial awareness. No prior knowledge is needed, just a friendly and non-judgemental attitude and some basic numeracy

Here's our Volunteer Application form to download and complete for all the roles above.

You can find out more about the different volunteer roles on the Citizens Advice Website
